Produced by Howell Books in 1935 as part of a portfolio of important rare images of early California made in the moment by CC Kuchel and E Dresel , of San Francisco. Originally from Germany, via way of Philadelphia, then to Sf by 1848 , retired by 1859 to Sonoma to make wine.
