Similar to the Magnus view from Nob Hill, this image is from a slightly different location and a viewpoint looking more North, creating an original image focused on the california Exchange building and Telegraph Hill and the bay . Rare and uncommon to survive, letter sheets were used to write home from the gold fields or San Francisco to update loved ones across the country before Postcards were invented .
