9" x 12" copper engraved map with later hand water color in fine condition. Covering the North Eastern United States, this map was made in support of the NP Willis's American Scenery Illustrated, focused mainly on the inland waterways, being canals and rivers used for transit and travel in the early 19th century. Excellent period document for logistics and westward expansion from the eastern seaboard , inland.
