1835 Lizar's Map of British Possessions, Aka: Canada

Copper engraved map with original hand water color in outline, defining political boundaries of the periuod, 1835. Russian possessions for Alaska, British possessions for the remainder of the Canada, except the famous American rights to Columbia, through the Louisiana Purchase ,a recognized French claim to these areas, ceded to the United States in 1805 and used to finalize American wishes to the 49th parallel question later in the century . Very Good condition, with splits at creases repaired and some minor foxing evident, as imaged, chipped edges in some places. 18 1/2" x 22"
