Created from original drawings by Thomas Shepherd and engraved by assorted talented artist working for the publisher Jones & Co. over the years 1827-29. Covering the new city of London, the largest in the World in 1829 and all the changes of new housing, schools, Alms houses, Industrial centers, banking and exchanges , park's and infrastructure under George IV,. The wealth of the growing British Empire on display with many structures lost during WWII bombings , but all locations and many buildings still present almost 200 years later
