First English edition of the first true views of the California coast , as documented by La Perous in 1786-88 and recorded in his atlas. Copper engraved landfall views still recognizable, this folio has damage to the lower left side, archivally but amateurishly repaired , covering some of the engraving with rice paper . otherwise a stabile and clean folio , worthy of framing or a western collection.
