13" x 17" full folio copper engraved view of a large canoe style vessel of Polynesia, with rows of oarsmen to assist the 2 large sails. Fine condition on this view taken from the travel notes of a french explorer M. De Pages and published by the Royal Marine academy in Paris through Diderot's printing house. A really lovely copper with a central stain as seen along left crease. A piece worthy of cleaning but still attractive and fun. .
