1947 (1916) UGSG Mare Island Quad
Nice example in fine near perfect condition is this Carneros region of San Pablo Bay. Mare island , the first Navy facility on the west coast (1856) is shown in detail, as is Vallejo, with building count and roadways included. Made by the USGS as copper engravings, these highest quality, highest detailed maps earned an excellent reputation for being accurate and reliable when it counted. This postwar reprint of a 1916 map, includes places like steamboat launches and landings, like Embarcadero and Cuttings Wharf 17" x 21"
